How to plow under anything in Farm Town

How to plow under anything
You can plow under trees, flowers, buildings and decorations so there is no need to put anything in storage and mess about bringing them back to your farm when it is done. Leave everything on your farm as is. You may have to move things that don’t hide i.e. some of the trees for decoration don’t hide such as palm tree with lights. These will be the only thing that you have to move into storage for now.

Go to your farm. Now go to the top right of your screen and see the six small icons in squares. You need to go to the one that looks like a spanner ( 4th one along). Turn of trees, flowers, buildings and decorations by unchecking each box and then click the green tick. Refresh your farm by clicking on play (top left, next to send gifts).

Go to the farm you were working on if you did not make it default before. Now just plow one field/one plot anywhere on your farm that you know you can normally plow. Now with the bulldozer delete that one field/one plot. Now you can plow anywhere you like, where trees, buildings, flowers and decorations would normally be showing.

When you have finished plowing go to the spanner and turn back on trees, flowers, buildings and decorations by putting a check in each box.
When it reloads you will see plowing under any obstructions. Hey Presto.

Now you can seed, harvest and plow to your hearts content. The plowed fields will remain there until you decide to delete them.

If you are using the overlapping method and want to plow under things you must make sure that before you start overlapping each farm put one field/one plot and then delete on each open tab otherwise you won’t be able to place your field and will get the red highlight when trying to place near or under hidden things.

I bought a new farm, added to it and then made it into a 9-layer farm by stacking each field. After this long process was done, I remembered that I wanted to plant trees in a pattern, but I cannot find out how to plant trees under my already plowed field on Farm Town. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you Sandie39

    • Paul says:

You can Plant/place anything on top, if you plant 2 different crops(2 tabs)stacked, then harvest the top crop (Shorter term), use the bulldozer to delete the harvested fields, then place anything you can buy or already have in storage on the layer. You must not leave until you are finished! Then refresh.

Whats is the best way to get coins ? i want to unlock Farm 26 x 26 and it need 10 000 000 000 coins , and it is a huge amount ! NOT FAIR

    • Cat says:

10 billion coins to enlarge a farm is a bit much I think. They have allowed us to use coins to enlarge our farms with instead of farm cash but who the heck has that many coins in their piggy bank? I did until the 20th and 21st farms came out and not my coins are just over 1 billion, not enough to do anything with. I used coins for the beginning of the enlargements then had to use farmcash. Farm 22?? NO coins, only farm cash.

Today lacrosse is considered to be one of the fastest growing sports in the US.

You should not compromise with quality because if the lacrosse rebounders nets are not up to the mark, your ball would not
be deflected in the right manner and this will take some sheen away from the
game that you are playing. While boys wear helmets and pads,
and carry specialized crosses (sticks), girls lacrosse requires a mask (typically under $40)
    and a stick.

Just a note for those still having trouble. I just managed to do this on my tree farm.

I think people are having trouble, because they have every spot covered. My tree farm is like this. Every available spot on my farm has a tree on it.

This is what I did, using Chrome:

    1. Remove enough trees for first plot.
    2. Hide trees, flowers, and all decorations and buildings.
    3. Reload game by clicking on “Play.”
    4. Open desired farm in a new tab.
    5. The first tab should be offline, but if not, take it offline.
    6. Go to new tab where trees are hidden and where I want to plow.
    7. Plow in the open location. You’ll get the green plowing tool.
    8. Delete the plot.
    9. Plow as normal.
    10. Go back to first tab, replant trees. Sometimes, they won’t come out of storage. I just bought a new tree for the one location where my stored tree would not plant.
    11. Make sure all has saved.
    12. Reconnect and reload game.

I hope that helps someone, and me when I try this again. lol.

    • BiotechRegi says:

I may have missed a minor point. You’ll want to be in the desired farm on both tabs, and before you do any other changes after you’ve hidden everything. This eliminates the risk of loading plots into the first tab after you’ve plowed, removing the ability to put items back.

You can keep the trees showing on the first tab, if you want or need, but make sure it’s offline and do not reload after you turn off everything in the second tab.

Also, make sure to put your hidden items back after you’ve plowed and before you go back online in the first tab. I did, and ended up having to delete seeded fields to put my trees back. Then, had to do everything again, to put the fields back. lol

Thank you so much for your instructions on how to plow under flowers, trees etc. I had looked for this information before but was so confused I was unable to follow the directions given. You have made this very clear and now I am able to get more crops from my farms while enjoying the harvests of the flowers and trees also. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

  23. Usually I don’t read article on blogs, however I wish to say that this write-up very pressured me to take a look at and do it! Your writing taste has been surprised me. Thanks, quite nice post.

My question is on the “How to plow under anything in Farmtown”. I want to know if you can plow under the meat truck, the oil wells and lakes or seas??

      • this is my question also. I wan to know if you can plow under the lakes and rivers…I get the layering but my lakes create a problem when I try to hide them and plow under them. I field looks like a puzzel and i can’t get it even

    • Angela says:

Will check it out and see if you are right. All my farms are already set up but I have farm 10 still to put in some order. I’ll try it later today and get back to you about it.

      • Angela says:

CHECKED AND IT IS STILL WORKING. Please make sure you delete the one plow plot with the bulldozer and not just click delete and also refresh your farm by clicking play and let it reload before you plow your one plot and delete it.

  26. Ky Ridgerunner says:

Wow: wow: I love this game.

  27. michelle says:

hi i already followed your instruction but still i couldn’t make it. i have already loads of flowers and trees on my farm and i try to plow underneath would it be possible or will have to start all over again pls help me. thanks

    • Angela says:

Ok you have to have at least one area where you can put one plowed field/plot. So you may have to delete or sell flowers or trees if the whole farm is covered but only in this area. Tip is to make it far top right corner so you know where it is. Turn off all trees , flowers, buildings etc. Refresh your game by clicking play and then make one plowed field/plot delete this field with the small bulldozer. Now you should be able to plow anywhere.

      • maryhope says:

well I guess that was my mistake too

  30. Maybelline says:

I am having trouble on one of my farms plowing under my trees. Is that because I didn’t plowed it first? Any ideas? I have way too many trees to move them. Thanks.

    • Angela says:

It could be that you have too many trees because this makes the game glitch alot anyway. Try hiding trees but remember where to put the one plowed field you have to delete before (there has to be enough room somewhere on your farm to do the one field otherwise it won’t work) set that farm as default, reload your game by clicking on play and then try placing the one field and delete it with the bulldozer and then plow the rest of the field. Hope it works.

  31. nena says:

    Hi, thanks for the post.
I have one question. If you want to add more trees after you plowed everywhere, is it possible? Or you would need to start from beginning, deleting the fields, etc.

    • Angela says:

Yes you would have to delete the fields and start again but if you are only putting more trees down the side then you only need to delete the appropriate rows and not the whole plowed fields. If you plan on putting additional trees everywhere on the farm then yes you would have to delete the whole lot and start again.

  32. Shae says:

I had been looking for a way to be able to plow under trees and facilities for some time now with no success. I came across your site today and was amazed at how easy it was to do. Your instructions were so easy to follow. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I love this site!

  33. Bev Stogner says:

I absolutely love the way you present your ideas. You are precise and leave out steps that are not necessary which gives a great end result without all the confusion. You cleared up so many things for me. Now crop stacking, plow layering and plowing under anything are all so much simpler. THANK YOU. ;O) Can’t wait to read more.
